Checkpoint with surveillance and lighting
For the nuclear power plants in Oskarshamn and Forsmark. One element in reinforcement of security measures at our nuclear power plants involves building checkpoints further out from the area. The aim is to detect intruders – and received prior warning – at an earlier point in time.
In late 2012/early 2013, Scanmast was commissioned by OKG in Oskarshamn to build these checkpoints on the Simpevarp peninsula. We supplied and installed masts for cameras and lighting, as well as two road portals for traffic lights and information signs. The total length of these portals is 48 metres. The customer was very pleased with the project, and as a result of this we were commissioned by Vattenfall to build a similar facility at Forsmark in the summer of 2013.
